UltraSense at Graphene2026
UltraSense was represented at Graphene2026 in Barcelona, where consortium partner Graphenea showcased advances in graphene-enabled sensing technologies during the Industrial Forum.
Held in Barcelona, Graphene2026 brought together researchers, industry leaders and technology innovators working across the graphene and advanced materials ecosystem. The conference provided a unique opportunity to discuss recent scientific breakthroughs, emerging applications and pathways towards the commercial deployment of graphene-based technologies.
As part of the Industrial Forum, Amaia Zurutuza from Graphenea (GSEMI) represented the UltraSense consortium with a presentation on next-generation graphene sensors. The talk highlighted how chemical vapour deposited (CVD) graphene is enabling new sensing solutions, supporting applications such as biosensing and chemical detection while bringing advanced graphene technologies closer to real-world implementation.

Graphene’s unique combination of flexibility, biocompatibility and high sensing performance makes it a promising material for future health monitoring technologies. Through its participation in the Industrial Forum, UltraSense gained visibility within the international graphene community and reinforced connections with key stakeholders from both academia and industry.
The UltraSense consortium thanks Graphenea for representing the project at Graphene2026 and contributing to the dissemination of the project’s vision and technological advancements.
