UltraSense showcased during the Nordic Conference on Digital Health and Wireless Solutions

The Nordic Conference on Digital Health and Wireless Solutions, organised by the University of Oulu, provided a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. Bringing together participants from academia, healthcare and industry, the event highlighted emerging trends and innovations shaping the future of digital health technologies and connected healthcare solutions.

Building on the success of previous editions, the conference fostered discussions on topics ranging from wearable technologies and wireless sensing to data-driven healthcare approaches and digital innovation. Through keynote presentations, scientific sessions and networking opportunities, attendees were able to share experiences, explore new ideas and strengthen collaborations across disciplines.

As part of the scientific programme, Leon Robertz (University of Oulu) presented research contributing to UltraSense, exploring how wearable bioimpedance sensing can support flexible and user-friendly body composition monitoring. The presented work demonstrated the potential of low-cost wearable bioimpedance devices to accurately estimate body composition parameters across different body locations, supporting the development of more accessible and versatile wearable health solutions.

As a partner of UltraSense and organiser of the conference, the University of Oulu played a key role in creating an environment that encouraged scientific exchange and showcased ongoing research activities in the field of digital health. The event also provided an opportunity to increase the visibility of European research initiatives and to connect with a broad international audience working on next-generation healthcare technologies.

The UltraSense consortium would like to thank the University of Oulu for successfully hosting the event and for providing a valuable forum to share research results, exchange ideas and engage with the wider digital health community.
